SSR ensures that:
- Crawlers are guaranteed to work; I haven't really found reliable evidence that
all major / relevant crawlers support JS, at the time we were making this
decision anyway
- Embed previews work without having to implement them specially on the server
- The site works for people who navigate without JS
- The site works in text-only browsers (kinda) (_ultra_ fringe case)
