In reply to @Elegantbeef "Worth noting even if": araq implied during NimConf last week that the new NIR and IC will also enable turning nimsuggest into a short-lived, oft-called program, so that even if it retains its current unbounded memory consumption and crashing behavior, that the problems will be much smaller. This was a bit shocking to me, like saying "since it's impossible to make well-running software, instead the new compiler will help us write programs that don't show the problems as obviously as they currently do."
